Enrolment

We do not have an enrolment zone so any child eligible* to enrol at school can enrol at Birkdale North Primary School. A pack is available at the office.

New entrants: For children enrolling at school for the very first time you will need to bring the child`s birth certificate or passport and their immunisation certificate.

New entrant children are encouraged to make 2 or 3 school visits, accompanied by a parent caregiver and you may arrange these at the office when you enrol your child. These visits are made at a time to suit you.

For students who have already been enrolled in another New Zealand school you just need to come to the office and complete the necessary forms.

Fees and Donations

Currently the donation is set at $130 (for 1 child) or $220 (for 2 children) or $300 (for 3 or more children). This donation includes money for school trips and activities. This may be paid to the school office by cash, cheque or eftpos (no credit cards) in one lump sum at the start of the year, or alternatively payments can be made each fortnight/month/term. For budgeting purposes you may find it easier to set up an Automatic Payment through your bank. Our bank account number is 12-3035-0468555-00.

* Eligible student - Children whose parents are New Zealand citizens; children whose parents have residency; children whose parents are resident in NZ and have work permits and the child has a student visa.
Children who come from countries where there are reciprocal enrolment rights such as Australia or Pacific Island countries.
Students who have been excluded from a NZ school do not have the automatic right to enrol at this or any other school.
